So the YouTube video originally embedded in this post a few days ago was removed because of a copyright claim …
but it’s popped up again, this time from a different YouTube user …

… which makes me wonder: Is someone trying to bait the CBC into a game of copyright Whack-a-Mole?
Either way. Bad enough that Pastor Mansbridge can’t shut up (seriously, Peter? I don’t need you to tell me that the choir’s singing or that the pallbearers are bringing in the casket. This is one of those times when less is more), but what with all the CBC-bashers out there, surely the Mother Corp needs all the friends it can get. Given the alternatives, not to mention the current state of Canadian broadcasting these days, I’d really like to consider myself one of those friends.
We’ve all been through the emotional wringer over this, and the transfixing beauty of this Kyrie (from Memorial by Rene Clausen — thanks to the Metropolitan Community Church for the info, and for the performance) was part of what gave us comfort. How about we just leave it alone? Please?
