It used to be that ignorance was a flaw, something to be kept hidden. It was something you worked to fix, not something you displayed proudly as a mark of authenticity.
I know, I know, it’s an easy target, and it’s a go-to shtick for more acts than I can count, but honestly, if the gunman in the pizza joint doesn’t make it clear, I don’t know what does. This kind of belligerent ignorance isn’t funny. It’s dangerous.
