Let’s just cut this shit right now. Just because some asshole capped off a couple of rounds at Toronto-area synagogues does not make it antisemitism, let alone that we’re awash in an epidemic of Jew-hatred, as the usual suspects want everybody to believe.
Did these synagogues host real-estate sales featuring stolen Palestinian land? Have they been cheering on the genocide in Gaza and pogroms in the West Bank? Do they make support for the racist, fascist, apartheid state of Israel part of their mission? Then they’re vessels of Zionism. And anti-Zionism is not only *not* antisemitism — by now it’s a moral imperative.
Do I have to to set out what the Palestinians have been subjected to for the past eight decades? What they’re enduring now? And you want me to give a fuck about a couple of plinks at a shul? You want me to clutch my pearls because the Jewish community in Toronto is in existential danger?
I caution comrades not to join the chorus. The usual suspects want to change the channel and make the conversation all about the tide of Jew-hatred and how Jews aren’t safe. Sanctimonious and sententious denunciations of this supposed antisemitism play right into their strategy.
